Sr. Elizabeth Ryan fcJ
serves CORI I had the privilege of serving on the Executive of CORI (Conference of Religious of Ireland) for five years (2001-2006), the last three as President. To find oneself at the heart of Religious Life in Ireland as a member of a small congregation was a most enriching experience. To be involved in the restructuring of the Conference was challenging but also energizing. Working collaboratively was grace-filled and affirming.
The presidential role provided opportunity to attend two European conferences of the Conferences of Religious of Europe and the International Congress on Religious Life: “Passion for Christ, Passion for Humanity”. The breadth of vision of Religious Life in Europe and worldwide experienced at these events attests to the vitality and commitment of Religious and to the shared challenges faced by all.
