I will sing forever of your love, O Lord.” This is the final hymn we sung on my perpetual profession 22nd of April 2006, at Holy Family Parish Church, Kamias, Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
On that very day I felt being united with Marie Madeleine our foundress. Her life story and spiritual journey inspires me a lot and I would like to repeat these words which she first pronounced during her life. “To have this name Faithful Companion of Jesus I would give everything, all that I am…”. With enthusiasm I pronounced my commitment to follow Jesus with all my heart, my mind, my soul and my strength. In God’s heart our covenant was sealed.
Many of those who attended and witnessed my final profession were part of my spiritual growth, including my Jesuit spiritual directors and FCJ formators. All of them are God’s instrument for me to see him clearly, to follow him faithfully and to love him dearly.
Truly God is faithful to me; and always brings me life when I feel lifeless. He brightens my days when I am in darkness. He gave me loving persons in my family, in the FCJ communities and in my ministries to remind me of his faithful love.
Our foundress, Marie Madeleine said that the good God would do everything Himself! I have experienced the truth of this in my life and thus I can entrust the future with confidence to Le Bon Dieu! And to “sing forever of your love o Lord….”
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who rejoiced with me and prayed for me on that day,. May you all experience God’s faithful love in your life.
