Sr. Ann Marie Walsh fcJ receives Distinguished Graduate Award

Group picture with Anne Marie.At 10.30 a.m. Mass in Blessed Sacrament Parish (Providence RI, USA) on Sunday January 29, Sr. Ann Marie was honored as the Distinguished Graduate of 2006 from Blessed Sacrament School, recognizing of her great contribution to Catholic education.

This occasion marked the beginning of Catholic Schools Week.

As well as being a past pupil of the school, Sr. Anne Marie served there as Principal from 1972-1980. After Mass there was Open House in the school where people gathered for socializing and refreshments.On Saturday, April 8, a special liturgy and retirement party were held to honor Sr. Ann Marie Walsh for her outstanding contribution to education at St. Philomena School, Portsmouth, RI, USA.

She has ministered in the school for 26 years, 20 of those as principal. It was a wonderful occasion, enjoyed by all and much appreciated by Ann Marie.
