First Profession of Clarie Thédrez fcJ

Paris, France -- January 3, 2009 - Feast of the Holy Name of Jesus

‘The path is made by each grain that falls into the earth …’

My encounter on the Web with the Faithful Companions of Jesus was the first step in my journey to become an FCJ.  Another followed:  the Postulancy in England at London.

Yet another step was the Novitiate, this time in Paris. What a rich and marvellous time! One step after another, day after day, the walk to follow Jesus in this little Society was made.

Through contact with my sisters, formation meetings, service with the most deprived, I deepened my relationship with God. All the richness and joy that these experiences developed in me made me feel called to continue my commitment more intensely.

My whole being said ‘YES’ to completely giving myself to God in this Society.

The day before and the day of my celebration of my First Vows was all grace!

There was a moment of intense emotion when I was outside the circle of my sisters and my heart wanted to rejoin them, to form one body with them. Then I was invited to join the circle where in a communal prayer my heart was touched, at times to the point of tears, by all the words of blessing and the wishes pronounced by the members of my FCJ family.

A third marvellous moment was the celebration with my sisters, my family and my friends in the school chapel of Notre Dame de France on January 3, 2009, feast of the Holy Name of Jesus.

I felt carried by the strength and love of God. Our Lord was there creating bridges between each member present.
