Concert at FCJ Secondary School, Bunclody, Co. Wexford, Ireland —19 May 2008
On Monday, the 19th of May, the annual fundraising Concert for the work of the FCJ Sisters in the Philippines, the Sudan, Indonesia & South America took place.
The orchestras performed twice in the day time for the Senior school and later for the Juniors. That evening a Concert was held for parents, family members, friends and acquaintances of the school.
The new Music teacher, Mr. Dale Hennessy, conducted his first FCJ concert and the young musicians excelled: the Junior and Senior orchestras, the traditional Irish music group – “Ar Aon Nós”- and the soloists.
The concerts were a huge success raising over €4,000. This brings the total raised by the May Concerts since 2002 to nearly €20,000.
