Mary Condron, fcJ
Parish Worker
My name is Mary Condron. I am a member of the pastoral team in Sacred Heart Church, Middlesbrough, England. While involved in all areas of parish life, most of my energies are spent in deepening the belief that we have a Faithful Companion at the core of our being, who works in us all to bring about the kingdom of God, a kingdom of justice and love, a kingdom of peace and forgiveness. This is a challenging ministry, but it is exhilarating too (not a dull moment), because our Faithful Companion is always a step ahead!

Maria Katherine McDermott fcJ
Secondary School Teacher
I work in a comprehensive school in Middlesbrough in the NorthEast of England. The FCJ sisters are the trustees of this school. Our school has both boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 16 years. In the school I teach business studies and I also have an administrative role. School life is challenging, but I enjoy my work. Our pupils work hard and gain good examination results. They have lots of opportunities for exciting experiences, visits to foreign counties and outdoor pursuits. They also work hard to help others in Britain and oversees, who might not have as many opportunities as they have.
