Bicentenary Activities: Caring for our Common Home

Tree planting in Myanmar FCJ Bicentenary 1820-2020

FCJ Sisters in the Myanmar community responded the FCJ General Chapter 2019 call to Care for our common home by planting trees in Pann Pyo Lat monastery, Bago, two hours from Yangon by car in January 2020. The FCJ community was able to do that planting trees activity helped by many hands, such as Fr. Patrick Kyaw Lin, a La Salette Missionary who generously helped us with transportation, Dr. Ashin Pyin Nyaw Bha Tha, Principal of Pann Pyo Lat Monastic Education School, who warmly welcomed us and allowed us to plant trees in the monastery, and our own FCJ youth group.
