Ms Whitney Nagasan-Calo is the Executive Director of the FCJ Retreat and Conference Centre in Calgary. Here is their November news and events email.
Dear Friends of the FCJ Christian Life Centre,
Greetings to you all.
October has been a deeply painful month for us here at the FCJ Centre and within the FCJ Sisters community. On October 1st, we said goodbye to Sr. Ger Curran fcJ, and on October 20th, we lost Sr. Marjorie Perkins, fcJ. Both of these wonderful women gave of themselves selflessly, accompanying so many individuals and groups throughout their years of service. We give thanks to God for the lives they so graciously shared with us and for the countless souls they touched. We will miss them dearly, but their abiding presence, their wisdom, and their gifts will remain in our hearts forever. May they rest in God’s eternal love and peace.
To everyone who reached out, sent messages or flowers, and joined us for the evening prayers and funerals, THANK YOU. Your presence and words of comfort have meant more to us during this time than words can express.
As time continues to move forward, it is hard to believe we are already entering November and drawing near to the end of another year. November always brings a quiet invitation to pause and remember, to reflect on those who have gone before us and the ways they have shaped who we are today.
On November 1st, we celebrate All Saints’ Day, honoring the saints and all whose lives of faith and courage continue to inspire our journey. The following day, All Souls’ Day, we hold our departed loved ones in prayer, holding close the love and memories we still share with them.
Then on November 11th, Remembrance Day, we join together to honor and give thanks for all who served to protect our freedom. Their courage and sacrifice remind us of the strength found in peace and community.
Together, we pray:

Throughout this month, we invite you to join us for an upcoming program or simply spend a quiet day at the Centre to rest, pray, and step back from the busyness of daily life.
On behalf of the entire FCJ Centre Team, please know that you remain in our prayers. Thank you for your continued support and for being such a vital part of our community.
Blessings,
Whitney Nagasan-Calo

Spiritual Direction Training Program
Spiritual Direction is the process of accompanying people on their spiritual journey, encouraging them to share and reflect on their life-story. The purpose of Spiritual Direction is to help individuals to explore their personal and spiritual experience as they grow closer God. Although some people may begin direction because of personal difficulties, losses, hurts or spiritual uncertainty, Spiritual Direction is not psychotherapy or counselling.
