As part of my ministry I serve as a volunteer with Caritas Indonesia – Archdiocese of Semarang (KARINA-KAS). Alongside the dedicated staff and fellow volunteers, we organize regular activities designed to support our elderly community. These gatherings include routine health check- ups, consultations with doctors and psychologists, elderly gymnastics, and joyful activities like sing-alongs and games. Through this social outreach, we hope to uplift both the physical health and spiritual well-being of our elders.
This month, our focus shifted toward raising awareness about our shared responsibility to care for our common home. Staff and volunteers enthusiastically gathered to learn how to process eco-enzymes into laundry detergent and body soap. This training is designed to be sustainable, equipping everyone to make their own eco-friendly soap at home and reduce our reliance on factory-made products. Beyond the obvious financial benefits, the hands- on workshop truly deepened the bonds of friendship and brought joy to the entire KARINA-KAS family.
