From 17 to 27 October 2025, we Sisters Faithful Companions of Jesus will be holding our General Chapter at the Franciscan Centre Ladywell Goldaming, England. The General Leadersgip team and elected delegates from around the world will gather together to pray and to discuss ‘matters of greater importance’, identified in the months preceding the Chapter by means of consultation with all the sisters across the Society, as directed by the FCJ Constitutions. The sisters will gather on 8th October for a retreat in preparation for the Chapter. We count on your prayers!

In 1922 Bishop William Hickey of Providence, Rhode Island, saw the pressing need for parochial schools in his diocese. He invited the FCJ Sisters. On August 1922 five sisters arrived and undertook the religious instruction of 1,100 children in the parish. Blessed Sacrament School was completed in 1925 and is now celebrating 100 years.
