Young People Praying for Peace in the World

On 19 June 2019, some students of Campion Institute Pastoral Care (CIPCA) with Sr Narni, fcJ organized the Youth Inter Faith Gathering for Peace at Campion Institute, Yangon. Youth representatives from different religious traditions (Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and Christianity) led the prayer for peace in our world. About 70 young people attended and prayed for peace in different languages, sang Taizé songs together, and reflected on texts about peace and unity. Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism representatives shared special greetings and mantras before they started prayer.

All participants expressed their commitment to bring peace to one another in simple way within and among different religions. Two students played instrumental music titled Heal the World with violin and guitar beautifully. At the end, we sang and danced together a song for global peace and unity: You in Me and I in You.

It was really wonderful and meaningful event! Everyone enjoyed the beauty and the richness of every religions.
