Praying with our Companions in Mission to Open the Bicentenary

FCJ sisters and Companions in Mission gathered in Manila on 22nd September for a truly wonderful opening of our bicentenary year. They prayed in thanksgiving for the life of our foundress Marie Madeleine d’Houët, for our 200 years of history, for our Companions in Mission across the world, and for the delegates from the Philippines who will attend the upcoming FCJ General Chapter.

In they prayer they pondered on the words of Sr Breda O’Farrell fcJ, reminding us of the centrality of God in our lives:

Once you admit God into your life, once you honestly admit that God’s dwelling in you brings responsibilities, once you dispel illusions that you can do nothing, then you will find what you can do and in whose power you can do it.

Sr Breda O’Farrell fcJ, a past General Superior of the FCJ Sisters

Let us go on loving and serving God and each other in fidelity and joy!
