Bicentenary Launching in Myanmar

With gratitude the FCJ sisters of the Yangon, Myanmar community rejoiced and glorified God’s kindness as we, Faithful Companions of Jesus (FCJ), enter the celebrations of our Society’s bicentenary.

To mark the launching of the bicentenary, we planted trees with our children in FCJ Preschool, Dalla, on the birthday of our foundress, Marie Madeleine. We also we planted a tree and offered loving service by cleaning the church compound of our parish, St. Augustine, and later that of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic church, where we planted a red plum tree.

We shared our joy with some friends by the simple gesture of giving plants to our ministry places: Myanmar Leadership Institute (MLI) where Sisca is working, Campion Institute where Narni is giving pastoral care, Gender Equality Network (GEN) where Cecilia is working part time and Myanmar Dimension where Beta is studying Burmese.
