On 30 April, the FCJ Community of Ende offered a workshop on the Laudato Si’ Movement. Their invited resource person was Sr. Inez fcJ available on zoom from Yogyakarta. This activity was part of the Ende community action plan designed during the Assembly after the FCJ General Chapter 2025. The Post Chapter Assembly was held at the FCJ Sarasvita Center in January 2026.
The theme of the workshop was “Raising Awareness of Local Food Sustainability.” The sisters invited several government institutions, universities and colleges, local NGOs, and representatives of the Socioeconomic Development Commission from the Parish, Vicariate, and Archdiocese of Ende. Approximately 30 people joined the program.
There was lively discussion, sharing, and hope for the future, encouraging people to choose and consume local foods over non-local ones to support farmers, and encouraging the younger generation to appreciate local food and culture in the Ende context.
At the end of the activity, the FCJ community distributed local vegetable seeds to all participants to plant at their home. Both the online and offline sessions went well. Of course, the workshop concluded with a lunch featuring local dishes.
