Will we ever forget these memorable words of Pope Leo XIV as he spoke his first words to the world shortly after being elected? These were the kind of words we were longing to hear and how much our world needs them: “…to all people, wherever they are, to all peoples, to the whole earth, may peace be with you.”
We have the message we need at this time: be peace makers, build bridges, be present to others, be charitable, be close to all and especially to those who suffer. Pope Leo has his call, and we have ours…Thanks be to God!
