On 28 April, Sr Tia fcJ from the Ende community, organized an event to launch a about local food. Tia is one of the contributors and the book is related to her ministry, explaining about 168 plants and 115 local food recipes from two villages in Ende. The event was held in the hall. There were about 35 participants from local governments, communities, schools, NGOs, churches and villages.

Sr Tia opened the proceedings as the chair of the committee and thanked all of the young people who trained to collect and gather information from the local people in the two villages. The Regent’s Mother of Ende also spoke, expressing hopes that this book would not only be displayed at home but could produce collaboration from various levels of society to promote local food. Continuing the speeches, the project leader presented the process and the book’s background. During her speech, she described the contents of the book and the year-long writing process.
The main agenda of this event was a focus group discussion (FGD). The participants were divided into four groups. They discussed several ways to bring the contents of this book to various levels of society.
The event finished with local food, served by local people from villages.
