On the afternoon of 21st October, capitulars gathered to celebrate six years of wise and dedicated leadership from our General Leadership Team. Our General Superior, Sr Bonnie Moser fcJ, and the General Assistants, Sisters Judith Routier, Patricia Binchy and Ruth Casey fcJ (top photo), have done amazingly well during the course of their term of office and it was important to take time to say a heartfelt thank you to them.
Four sisters took turns to thank Sisters Bonnie, Judith, Patricia, and Ruth respectively. Each of the sisters captured the uniqueness and giftedness of the person she was speaking to and spoke of the contribution she has made to the mission of the Society in the last six years.
There was depth, beauty, and humour in each of the speeches and even a song in one instance. Sisters reminisced and gave thanks for all that has been. They laughed at times and some felt a little tearful. There were barely words enough to express gratitude and appreciation for all that the General Team has given to God, to our Society, to the world and to each one of us.
