The Baciro Community continues its efforts to live out the spirit of Pope Francis Encyclical Laudato Si’ by repurposing daily fruit peels into eco-enzymes. These peels are mixed with water and molasses, then left to ferment for three months. To maximize production, we occasionally collect leftover peels from local market vendors. We then transform these eco-enzymes into body soap, laundry detergent, and hand wash.
We recognize that our initiative contributes to the movement of caring for our common home. Beyond managing organic waste, the eco-enzyme base used in our soaps is entirely chemical-free. This ensures that the wastewater degrades naturally without harming soil microorganisms. We remain deeply committed to playing our part in safeguarding God’s beautiful creation for us all.
