Cana Community Ecumenical Prayer Group

There has been an Ecumenical prayer group in the FCJ  Soropadan community (Yogyakarta, Indonesia) for almost twenty five years.  Cana Community is made up of members of at least five different Christian denominations. Sr Barbara, fcJ was one of the founder members along with Ibu, a member of a nearby Protestant Church.  Year after year a small group of about fifteen people have met for prayer and sharing and we have always invited a larger group to join us for a special Christmas celebration.  In late January of 2019 we invited about forty of our neighbours to join us in Sarasvita to celebrate a belated Christmas.  A small group of us met again in February for our usual twice-monthly meeting.  We met in the family homes of Mr and Mrs Jonnie.  After a time of worship we shared our reflections on a Gospel passage and then concluded the meeting with prayers of intercession.
