Thankfully there are always times of lightness and joy to energise us. One such occasion was MaryAnne fcJ’s birthday. It was great to surprise her with a cake and a rousing chorus of ‘Happy Birthday’.
MaryAnne was heard saying, This has been the most unusual birthday, what a way to celebrate! MaryAnne’s family also sent flowers to mark the occasion.
Yesterday evening we were able to spend an hour together, enjoying spontaneous singing, telling jokes and stories, dancing and generally relaxing in each other’s company. Some lovely snacks completed the evening.
After a day of listening and reflecting, this time of relaxation together was truly welcome!
What a fitting and joyous end to a Canadian Thanksgiving!
