Oasis Day – Summer

Spanish Point, Ireland

A day of reflection and stillness, by the sea, with Nóirin Lynch, director of FCJ Spirituality House, Spanish Point

Many of us want to take time apart to rest, replenish and be nourished for life. One day allows more people to come away and enjoy the calm of our Spirituality House. So across the year ahead, we will offer a series of one day retreats for anyone looking for a day apart here.

Each Oasis day will be hosted by Noirin Lynch with a special guest suitable for the season. The day will begin at 10am with reflection and prayer, followed by a time of stillness before lunch. Depending on weather we will have outdoor or indoor prayer and reflection in the afternoon finished with a closing service before 5pm.

The Easter Season is a time of thanksgiving and of reflection on all God has done for us. It comes from time set aside for newly baptised adults who sought to understand the impact of Baptism and the new life they had chosen. So we will look back over the year and notice how God has been at work in our lives, where we have been guided and blessed and where we can be thankful.

The event is priced to be inclusive (€30, inclusive of lunch, is the suggested donation). Register at fcjspiritualityhouse.ie/event/oasis-day-summer/

Come aside and rest, as Jesus did.

It was very early in the morning and still dark. Jesus got up and left the house. He went to a place where he could be alone. There he prayed.

Mark 1:35
