Last week some of the sisters from the novitiate community in Yogyakarta took part in Bible sharing in two groups, one Catholic and one Ecumenical respectively. On Thursday evening we spent two hours reading and reflecting on the Mass readings for the coming Sunday (photo below).
The following evening we joined members from several Christian denominations in reflecting and sharing on creation using a text from Genesis (photo above). We used the sharing to strengthen our resolve to be more proactive in taking care of and restoring the environment. We left both groups steeped in Scripture and strengthened in faith.
