Final Profession of Sr Michelle fcJ

Sr Michelle signing the vow registry

Congratulations to Sr Michelle fcJ who made her final profession as a Faithful Companion of Jesus on August 16 2025 in Canada! Here are some words from Michelle and some photos. We are so blessed…

What a joy-filled day it was to make Final Vows this past Saturday at St Mary’s Cathedral in Calgary! During the Mass, I asked God to accept the offering of my life in union with the sacrifice of Christ, for God’s greater glory… but the reality is that this ‘offering’ allows me to better accept God’s immense generosity into my life and better see Christ at work in others. Thank you to all who have reached out and all who were present at the Mass and Reception.

I met the Faithful Companions of Jesus (FCJ Sisters) in 2011, became a Postulant in 2013, a Novice in 2014 and a Sister in Temporary Profession in 2016. My heart is full of peace and joy as I contemplate this final, formal step of entering into religious life. It has been a journey, sometimes an extremely challenging one, that continues to reveal to me the fathomless love that God has for me and for all of us.

Please continue to pray for me and the FCJ Sisters.

The Mass of perpetual profession was followed by a reception at the FCJ Christian Life Centre, near St Mary´s Cathedral, attended by FCJ Sisters and relatives, friends and colleagues of Michelle.
