Sr Lina fcJ from Indonesia recently made her final profession as a Faithful Companion of Jesus in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Lina writes here about this very important occasion for her and for our Society.
On Saturday, 23 May 2026, I made my final profession as an FCJ sister. I want to express my deepest gratitude to all the FCJ sisters and Companions in Mission around the world for your companionship, prayers, love, and support sent through emails, cards, and message. Every single one is incredibly meaningful to me and will be a treasure and a blessing on every step of my journey.
Thank you so much to the FCJ sisters in Indonesia, who gave so generously of their energy, time, and thoughts to prepare for this day and make my final vows so profoundly wonderful. A special thank you to Beta fcJ and Rowena fcJ, who travelled from the Philippines, and Hartini fcJ, who came from Melbourne. My sincere thanks also to our parish priest, Fr. Bernardus Himawan Pr, who celebrated the Eucharist, it was truly magnificent. My heart was also filled with joy to have my mother, three sisters, niece and brother-in –law who travelled all the way from Ende to be with me.
I feel so incredibly special, loved, and blessed. I knelt to receive the blessings, fully accepting my life as an FCJ sister, which I longed for so much. Thank you, dear sisters for accepting my uniqueness. May Jesus, our faithful companion, bless each one of you with abundant love, wisdom, and joy. May we always remain united in prayer and companionship.
